Many authors that have written about the Titanic have often narrated the tragedy over and over again in more or less the same way to the point that it has now become quite boring to read Titanic books, especially if you have read them before. John Boileau's book ‘Hilafax & Titanic’ sounds rather interesting because as it tackles the story from a different perspective. For this reason, many readers that have not yet read the book will be hoping that the book turns out to be good.

Looks good, if anybody is interested in further reading there is a wonderful book by local writer and historian Judith Fingard called "The Dark Side of Life in Victorian Halifax" which, through stories, articles and court documents paints a very revealing picture of life in Halifax during the Victorian era.

It profiles major characters known in the city, the things they did and what life was generally like for those living below the hill.
