Hackmatack is Back!

The Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award is back for its 15th season with an exciting selection of Canadian books for young readers in Grades 4, 5 and 6. The list includes a total of 40 outstanding reads in the categories of English and French fiction and non-fiction.

For home or school these titles are available at Bookmark!

Hackmatackers have already cast their votes for their favourite books, and the awards will be presented at a ceremony at the Confederation Centre for the Arts in Charlottetown, PEI on Friday May 30!

Atlantic Book Awards Festival – Week 2

The Atlantic Book Awards and Festival is on-going!
Be sure to check out all of the events before it ends with the big gala on May 21st!

Tuesday, May 20th @ 7pm: Join non-fiction writers John Flood, Earle Lockerby, and Pan Wendt for a panel discussion at the UPEI Faculty Lounge.

Wednesday, May 21st @ 12pm: Terry Graff presents his book ‘Masterworks from the Beaverbrook Art Gallery” at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery.

@ 2pm: Jesse Francis and A.J.B. Johnston present their book “Ni’n na L’nu: The M’ikmaq of Prince Edward Island” at the Confederation Centre Public Library.

@ 7pm at the Delta Prince Edward Island join the celebration as winners are announced for each of the Atlantic Book Awards!

2014 Atlantic Book Awards and Festival!

The 2014 Atlantic Book Awards Festival is starting soon!
The festival runs May 14 to 21 throughout Atlantic Canada culminating with the gala May 21st at the Delta Convention Centre in Charlottetown!
